Alex Weider is a teacher, actor, writer, and Brooklyn native who has facilitated educational theater workshops for 10 years throughout New York City, New York State, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Massachusetts, and in London, UK. He has worked for New York City Department of Education high schools using theater, digital music production and Cinema to teach English as a Second Language. He has also worked as a teaching artist for Brooklyn Arts Council, Hospital Audiences Incorporated, and Vineyard Theater. Alex's background includes radio broadcasting, digital audio production, traveling children's theater, slam poetry, Jewish education, youth development, Shakespeare, Commedia del Arte and Improv. He holds a BA in Creative Writing from Binghamton University, and recently completed a Masters in Educational Theater at The City College of New York - CUNY. He currently holds New York State Initial Certification in Theater, grades K-12.
